The Ann Arbor/Metro Detroit Source of Revolutionary Electronic Music and Dance Parties.

I saw a couple really good local bands last night at Sigma Phi's Future Party, one was Detroit's own, Carjack., which I think only had two members...although for a bit, I only saw one. I found the myspace but I don't think any of the songs he/they played last night are on there yet. If I can get his music and permission I'll post some here.
Until then, heres some more from Ed Banger- introducing; SebastiAn (Yes he's french)
Rage Against the Machine? Head splitting remix? Fuck yes.
I hope more like Tiga is added to this list. The record label that his debut album, Sexor, was released on was Turbo Recordings, which also releases Boys Noize, D.IM., Proxy, DMX Krew- the kind of music that would make going to DEMF absolutely imperative for me. I don't listen to Tiga a whole lot yet - I recently downloaded an amazing cover of Nine Inch Nails' Down In It - but after doing some research I found that Sexor won the 2007 Juno award for Dance Recording of the year. His style is a sort of electro that draws from Acid House www.myspace.com/officialtiga
I'll post some more songs related to this DEMF lineup or Tiga later
Hi, my name is Stefan and I realize that the first step is admitting that you have a problem... but it just feels so damn good.
To start things off, I'm posting a Justice remix of fellow record label member, Mr Oizo. You can expect a lot more posts related to the record label (Ed Banger Records) from me in the future. While Justice is comparable to Daft Punk (as well as accused of being rehashing the same basic ideas) other artists on the label have, in my opinion, managed to master the uber distorted/dirty style of electro, the dark sound that I love, in a way thats hard to find elsewhere.
"He said that the world could only be known as it existed in men’s hearts. For while it seemed a place which contained men it was in reality a place contained within them and therefore to know it one must look there and come to know those hearts and to do this one must live with men and not simply pass among them."
